Kindergarten registration for Albany County School District #1 elementary schools, including rural schools, will be Monday, April 16 – Friday, April 20, 2018 during regular school hours. Parents may register children at their designated neighborhood school: Beitel, Centennial, Harmony, Indian Paintbrush, Linford, Rock River, Slade, Spring Creek or Valley View. If desired, boundary exception requests are available at neighborhood schools.

Children must be five (5) years old on or before September 15, 2018 to enter kindergarten in 2018-2019. Parents need to bring the child’s birth certificate and record of childhood immunizations. Children entering kindergarten are required to have their immunizations up to date prior to the start of school in August 2018. The required immunization form is available at schools or any physician’s office.

For more information, or for questions regarding the registration process, parents should contact their neighborhood school.

Tim Ellis from Engineering Associates, in cooperation with the University of Wyoming sponsored Land Surveyors Week, came to Centennial Valley School to teach the kids about modern surveying techniques. Mr. Ellis also allowed students to use surveying equipment to locate certain points using GPS and satellite supported instruments. Mr. Ellis also explained how land surveyors completed surveying tasks before they had computerized equipment and satellites. Centennial students really learned a lot and enjoyed the surveying activities.

We greatly appreciate Mr. Ellis taking time to come and provide this experience for our students.

Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer-generated experience that simulates real life adventures. VR is an immersive environment that enables participates to connect with computerized systems that depict everyday occurrences.

Needless to say - the Centennial kiddos LOVED the field trip. Thank you UW!!!
