School Board Update

The Albany County School Board met on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and approved the following personnel recommendations, program actions, business items, and policy changes:

  • Personnel Recommendations: The School Board reviewed and approved the monthly personnel actions including resignations, retirements, extra duty assignments, additional duties, classified appointments, and certified appointments.

  • School District Business Items and Bids

    • Monthly Financial Reports

    • Federal and State Grants Financial Report.

    • Donations:

      • The School Board approved a $10,000 donation from The Wyoming Hunger Initiative and Ivinson Memorial Hospital to the ACSD#1 Feed it Forward Program.

      • The School Board approved an equipment donation valued at $21,000 from Planet Fitness to Laramie Middle School.

  • Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget Amendment: The School Board approved the amendment to the ACSD#1 Fiscal Year 2025–2026 Budget as presented.

  • Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget: The School Board approved the ACSD#1 Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget.

  • Second Addendum to the Superintendent's Employment Contract: The School Board approved the second addendum to the Superintendent's employment contract.

  • Resolution Authorizing Execution of Documents for the Sale of District Property: The School Board approved the resolution authorizing the Board Chair, Superintendent, and Chief Financial Officer to execute all documents necessary to complete the sale of the Laramie Athletic Field property, 1212 Baker Street (Old Slade Property), 509 South 9th Street (Special Services Building), and 1948 Grand Avenue (Central Administration Building).

  • Resolution Accepting Purchase Offer and Authorizing Execution of Documents for the Sale of the 11th and Reynolds Property: The School Board approved the resolution accepting the purchase offer and authorizing the Board Chair, Superintendent, and Chief Financial Officer to execute all documents necessary to complete the sale of the 11th and Reynolds Property.

    • LMS Girls Track

    • The LMS 8th Grade Girls Track Team placed first at their Conference Meet in May.

    • Abraham Hutton was recognized for being the Wyoming Bus Rodeo Champion!
