ACSD#1 School Board Update

The Albany County School Board met on Wednesday, April 8 2026, and approved the following personnel recommendations, program actions, business items, and policy changes:

  • Personnel Recommendations: The School Board reviewed and approved the monthly personnel actions including resignations, retirements, extra duty assignments, additional duties, classified appointments, and certified appointments.

  • School District Business Items and Bids:

    • Monthly Financial Reports.

    • Federal and State Grants Financial Report.

    • Bids:

      • The School Board approved a bid from Dave Loden Construction in the amount of $564,970 for the Spring Creek Elementary Roof project. The projects previously approved bidder cannot be bonded as required by the State of Wyoming School Construction Department.

  • Curriculum Program Purchases: The School Board approved the presented curriculum program purchases including a College & Career platform and Computer Science programing.

  • 2027-2028 ACSD#1 Academic Calendar: The School Board approved the 2027-2028 academic calendar.

  • WEBT Health and Dental Insurance Provider and Deductible Plans for 2026-2027: The School Board approved WEBT as the health and dental insurance provider and the deductible plans as presented for 2026-2027.

  • WEBT Health and Dental Insurance Rates for 2026-2027: The School Board approved the WEBT health and dental insurance rates for 2026-2027.

  • Policies Approved on First Reading:

In addition to the approval of programs, policies, and bids, the School Board heard the following presentations and recognitions:

    • Hope Squad

    • Students and staff from the LHS Hope Squad presented the impact their team has experienced this year.

  • Recognitions:

    • The LMS Boys Swimming Team was recognized for being Conference Champions.
