School Board Update

The Albany County School Board met on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 and approved the following personnel recommendations, program actions, business items, and policy changes:

  • Personnel Recommendations: The School Board reviewed and approved the monthly

    personnel actions including resignations, retirements, extra duty assignments, additional

    duties, classified appointments, and certified appointments.

  • School District Business Items and Bids:

    • Monthly Financial Reports.

    • Federal and State Grants Financial Report.

    • Bids:

      • The School Board approved a bid from Legacy Coop Association in the amount of $1.28/gallon to be the Centennial propane supplier.

      • The School Board approved a bid from Blakeman Propane in the amount of $1.24/gallon to be the Rock River propane supplier.

      • The School Board approved a bid from Dooley Oil to be the 2025-2026 transportation fuel and gasoline provider.

      • The School Board approved a bid from Climate Control in the amount of $750,600 for the cooling addition at Slade Elementary, contingent on available funding from the School Construction Department.

  • 2025-2026 Recreation Mill Resolution: The School Board approved the proposed recreation mill for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

  • Superintendent Employment Contract: The School Board approved the proposed addendum to the superintendent employment contract.

  • Policies Approved on First Reading:

  • Policies Adopted on Third Reading: No policies were adopted on third reading.

  • Policies Reviewed: No policies were reviewed.

LMS Girls & Boys Track Team

  • The Laramie Middle School 7th grade track team won Conference Championship.

LHS Regional Softball Champions

  • The LHS Softball Team was recognized for being Regional Champions.
