LARAMIE, Wyo. (May 28, 2021) – As we come to the end of an unprecedented school year, we want to share information with our families to prepare for closing out the year and the collection of school issued technology focusing on Chromebooks, Chromebook charging cords, and hot spots.

If you have a device that was sent home, your school will provide you with specific dates, times, and procedures for returning your devices. Please watch for this communication in the coming days from your child(ren)’s school. For example, both Laramie High School and Laramie Middle School have set June 1 deadlines. Some exceptions may be granted for school related work and other academic needs.

As a school district, it is important that we collect our school technology and record our inventory during the first part of the summer. The collection of school technology will also ensure that our staff is able to clean, update and order necessary replacement parts in preparation for the new school year. In the fall, students and families can participate in the new Chromebook insurance program when schools reissue devices to students who request a Chromebook.

Chromebooks, chargers and hotspots that are not returned will incur school fees.

Technology Replacement Costs
Chromebook $235
Charger $15
Hotspot $65

Thank you for your cooperation as we end this school year. We hope you have a safe and fantastic summer, and we can’t wait to see you again in the fall!
