Substitute teachers, nurses, and paraeducators are a vital part of the educational process. They provide an invaluable service to students, parents, and staff members of the District. Red Rover
ACSD#1 utilizes Red Rover as their substitute platform. Once a new hire has received their district email credentials, an invite to set up their account will be sent from Red Rover to the new hire.

Substitute Teacher
To substitute teach in Wyoming, you are required to have a teaching certificate or substitute permit issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board - PTSB. Click here for more information!
Substitute Nurses
In collaboration with teachers, support staff, and administrators, substitute nurses are a vital part of the educational process helping students with health needs.
Minimum requirement: RN licensure
Classified Substitute Paraeducator
Provide student support under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
Minimum requirement: High School Diploma
Regular education substitute paraeducator : Support students and assist with instructional and other duties.
SPED Resource paraeducator: Works under the supervision of a certified teacher to facilitate small groups and support students with special needs.
SPED Behavior Support, Personalized Learning Services paraeducator: Works under the supervision of a certified teacher by providing individualized support to students with instruction, personal care, behavior challenges.

*Eligible substitutes will be compensated for one additional day at the incentive rate for every ten (10) days that they fill an open position in the District.
Substitutes will be provided with a bonus as set forth in the table below. Long term substitutes and substitute nurses do not qualify for incentive or bonus pay.
