The ACSD#1 Extensions Team was created to provide all students with enriching, hands-on learning opportunities while supporting teachers with planning and instruction. Together, they bring a wealth of experience across grade levels and subject areas, ensuring students across the district have consistent access to engaging, real-world learning experiences.

The Extensions Team’s work will give students opportunities to deepen their understanding through project-based, interdisciplinary, and place-based learning—helping them connect classroom concepts to the world around them. For teachers, the team will take on much of the preparation and delivery, allowing more time to focus on core instruction while still gaining valuable resources and fresh ideas. By combining student enrichment with teacher support, this initiative is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration in classrooms across our district.
