The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (also known as the “Every Student Succeeds Act or ESSA) expects Title IA schools to notify parents/guardians that they may request the qualifications of their child’s teacher or para-professional.

The following information may be requested for a certified staff member or para-professional that works directly with the student:

•Whether the teacher has met Wyoming's Professional Teaching Standards Board criteria for licensure;

•The teacher’s Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board Endorsements and/or Permits that are specific to the grade level and/or course that the student is being provided instruction or provided services;

•Whether or not the teacher is on an Exception Authorization for the grade level and/or subject area he or she teaches; or

•Confirmation that the paraprofessional has participated in ACSD #1 required training's.
