Dr. Goldhardt and his wife have been married for 34 years and are the parents of two adult sons and grandparents to one granddaughter. They also have one canine child, 12-year-old Snowball, a very spoiled Bichon Frise.

Assistant Superintendent David Hardesty

I have been an educator in Wyoming for the past 19 years. My first eight years were spent as a classroom teacher split between Beitel Elementary School in Laramie, Wyoming and Bain Elementary School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. During my time as a classroom teacher, I taught second grade for three years and sixth grade for five years. I enjoyed every moment of my time as a classroom teacher.

After teaching, I transitioned to the position of principal at Velma Linford Elementary School in Laramie, Wyoming. During my time at Linford, I was an active member on the Wyoming Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals (WAEMSP) executive board, National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) Resolutions Committee, and the 2023 Wyoming Principal of the Year. I will always cherish my time leading the Linford learning community.

I am a Laramie native and my wife, son, and daughter are proud to call Laramie home. On our free time we enjoy watching our children play sports, golfing, skiing, and spending time with family.

I am looking forward to my role with Albany County School District 1 as the Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership and Performance.
