Welcome to Slade Elementary School! Whether you are a newcomer, visitor, or a Slade Eagle it is our hope that you will find your time at Slade to be a positive and exciting learning experience.
We are very proud of what we have accomplished in our classrooms and in our school! We will also continue to push our students towards the new standards to enrich their lives. The Slade staff has identified three very specific educational goals for our targeted improvement efforts this year which are a change from our previous goals based on our most current school data:
By May 2018, Slade Elementary School will continue to be an exceeding expectations school by maintaining our achievement in Reading at or above 70% of students proficient and increase our achievement in Mathematics from 64% to 70% of students proficient as measured by the WAEA school performance report.
By May 2018, Slade Elementary School will increase our growth indicator from meets expectations to exceeds expectations as measured by the WAEA school performance report.
By May 2018, Slade Elementary School will improve proficiency in reading to 85% for all students in kindergarten through 3rd grade as measured by WY-TOPP state assessment.
Outcomes from 2016-2017 School Year:
Slade Elementary continues to be an Exceeding Expectations school and has reached this status in Equity and Achievement while meeting expectations in the area of Growth
- Reading Achievement grew to a 76% proficiency rate
- Math Achievement of 64% proficiency rate
- Combined Mathematics and Reading achievement reached Exceeding Expectations status (70%)
By 2017, Slade Elementary School will continue to be an Exceeding Expectations school and increase our achievement in Reading from 63% of students proficient (Meeting Expectations) to 70% of students proficient (Exceeding Expectations) as measured by the WAEA school performance report. Goal Met!
By May 2017, Slade Elementary School will increase early literacy scores in grades K-3 from below 85% (ranging from 49-74%) of students proficient at each grade level to 85% of students proficient at each grade level as measured by MAP scores and/or as indicated on the Early Literacy Report. 84% of 3rd Grade Students Met Proficiency!
