Destination Imagination: 2020

It’s Destination Imagination time! Our library Makerspace offers students the opportunity to create and explore using all kinds of (donated) found objects!

Third graders have been creating cardboard SPACECRAFT with cardboard boxes, make-do tools, one of the top tools in our toolbox: DUCT TAPE!

Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade students created Snowmen Collages with all kinds of donated fabric, ribbons, pomp oms, pipe cleaners and other sewing notions.

Fourth and Fifth Grade students have been building their own versions of one of the inventions that changed the world: the Wheel and Axle.

To sustain our Destination Imagination Makerspace, please consider saving and donating some of the following items:

Empty clean containers like coffee cans, Altoids tins, egg cartons, water bottles with lids!

Toilet paper, paper towel, wrapping paper tubes.

Fabric remnants, felt scraps, yarn, ribbons, thread spools.

Crafting items like pipe cleaners, buttons, pompoms, cotton balls, sequins, googly eyes.

Other appreciated items: glue for hot glue gun, glue sticks, Elmer’s glue, duct tape (patterned and silver), brass fasteners, paper clips, bamboo skewers (all sizes), anything else you think might be used for building a fun creation!

Please contact Mrs. Boss if there’s anything else you’d like to ask about contributing for
