Spring Creek students will be honoring Veterans with a special assembly on Monday, November 11th              Student and Staff are encouraged to dress in patriotic (red, white, blue) colors.

Student Council is pre-selling flag pins for .50 each. Additional pins can be purchased for Veterans!  (Classroom orders are due October 28th)

  • Parents and Veterans are invited to join us at 8:25 a.m. in our gym
  • Special guests from our local VFW will visit
  • Students will share their grade level Veteran's Day projects, read winning essays and sing songs!

Colder Weather

It won't be long before cold weather moves in to stay!
We ask everyone to dress for the conditions. Remember coats, boots, gloves, and hats.

If the temperature with wind chill is below zero we will be inside for recess times.  Red tags will be posted on the main doors.  Zero or above means recess is outside!  How do we determine this?  Commercial weather apps will use a weather station at the Laramie Regional Airport where conditions are usually colder and windier.  We use a nearby weather station for an accurate temperature for Spring Creek. You can access that same information here:

Attendance Matters!

Attendance MattersCommon sense tells us that kids who miss school miss opportunities to learn. Some absences are just unavoidable. But, how much is too much? New research tells us that missing an average of just two days a month makes a child much more likely to fail a subject or to not graduate from high school. This research also points out that parents often underestimate the effects of missing school. It’s in everyone’s interest that students are at school the vast majority of the time. Thank you for making attendance a priority at Spring Creek Elementary School.
