About Us
The UW Lab School, also known as Prep, is a public school of choice in Albany County School District. The school is located in the College of Education building on the University of Wyoming campus. During the 2017-2018 school year, we celebrated the school’s 135th anniversary. The school has an amazing history and is unique to Wyoming Public Education because it strives to model learner-centered education for approximately 270 Kindergarten through 8th grade students while partnering with a teacher education institution to serve as an educational learning site for hundreds of University of Wyoming students.
ENROLLMENT
Enrollment is determined through an annual lottery. The application can be found on our website. The lottery process is held each April and continues throughout the year if openings occur. Lottery priority is granted to siblings and children of faculty/staff. All students must apply by the lottery deadline to be considered for priority enrollment.
