LHS Media Center

LHS Media Center: The Laramie High School Media Center is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Media Center offers typical Library services including books and other information resources, assistance with research, quiet study spaces and access to computers and other technology.

Before/After School

Before/After School: Teachers are available before and after school to provide additional help to students. Although teachers are contracted to be at the school from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, many teachers are here earlier and later than their contracted time. In addition, Laramie High School offers a late bus which will pick up students at 4:10 each day who wish to stay after school for extra help.

Intervention & Enrichment

Intervention & Enrichment: Intervention & Enrichment or I&E is available every Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 9:30am. This is a time students can receive additional support from teachers, make-up any missing work, or simply complete homework or study. In addition, students who are passing all of their classes and are caught up on all work will have the opportunity to participate in various enrichment activities such as intramural sports, career fairs, or club meetings.

Your Laramie High School Counselors: Each student is assigned to a counselor when they enter their freshman year at LHS. Your counselor is a great resource for help developing academic skills that will make you successful in high school and beyond. Your counselor can also help create an individualized plan for you to gain more success in academics.

Academic advising, tutoring, and college preparation for eligible Wyoming students grades 9-12. Tutoring Club

Offers resources for students of all grade levels for academic and college support not limited to homework help in a variety of subjects, organizational skills, test preparation, study skills, and ACT/SAT prep. In addition, free study hall sessions are available for all students where professional tutors are available to answer questions. Contact the Tutoring Club at 307-745-6284 or visit their office at 2907 East Garfield Unit 13.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters Homework Help

A tutoring program for all Wyoming students in grades K-12, in all subject areas, including ACT and SAT prep. Tutoring is face-to-face; and/or by Skype; and/or by Face-time. Big Brothers/Big Sisters Homework Help: A free tutoring service available to all junior high and high school youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Tutors works closely with teachers, parents, youth and educational resources in the community of Laramie to offer youth the best possible homework assistance. Big Brothers Big Sisters is located at 518 Ord.  Tutoring hours:  Monday-Thursday 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Phone:  742-2227

Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are available for free to users of the website and app.
