Breakfast and Lunch Changes

We are in the process of being approved by WDE and USDA to change from the National School Lunch Program to the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).  We fed students for free under the SFSP April through August.  This means that everyone has the option of having breakfast and lunch at no charge to them.  The SFSP program and meal pattern requirements are different and will result in the following changes:

  • We will only have 1 entree at breakfast and lunch.
  • Breakfast will consist of a cold entree, white milk, and a juice.
  • Lunch will consist of either a cold or hot entree with a fruit and vegetable and a chocolate milk.
  • Ala carte items or drinks are not available for purchase.
  • This replaces our current meal plans.
  • We hope that this will last as long as through this fall.

Yes, you read that right.  For the next couple of months, your child has the option to receive free breakfasts and lunches every day.  This is available to all students.

However, if you qualify or think you qualify for free and/or reduced lunch it is still important you complete that application. The SFSP program will most likely not last the entire year. Once it is finished, students will be charged for meals again. Use this link to access the free and reduced lunch application.
