School Safety

Albany County School District is committed to a safe and civil educational environment for all students, employees, volunteers, and patrons.  We continue to work diligently to protect and safeguard your children.  This is accomplished through community partnerships with our law enforcement agencies and training of our students and staff.

Standard Response Protocol

The Standard Response Protocol is based on four actions:  Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.   SRP is based on the response to any given situation and demands a specific vocabulary.

Standard Reunification Method

One critical aspect of crisis response is reunification of students with their parents or guardians in the event of a school crisis or emergency.  The Standard Reunification Method (SRM) provides school and district safety teams with methods for planning, practicing and achieving a successful reunification.
