Powerschool & Infosnap information is being mailed home for your students. We ask that you use your snapcode to update your student’s information for the 2014-2015 school year. Having this updated information assists us in contacting you regarding your student. Powerschool is an invaluable tool for parents to monitor their students grades, assignments, and  lunch balance. Back to School night is September 8, 2014 at 6:30 pm. Parents are invited to follow their students schedule, meet the teachers and staff, join PTO, purchase LJHS apparel, and get a general idea of what Laramie Junior High is about this year. Letters with more information will be mailed home by Tuesday, September 2,. 2014.

School Pictures are September 9, 2014 and picture retakes are October 15, 2014. Once again, we are pleased to offer the option to purchase school photos online through Lifetouch. For those of you who prefer the traditional paper order form, they were included in the back to school packets each student received with their schedule.  LJHS PTO is once again selling t-shirts and sweatshirts. They are offering long sleeve or short sleeve t-shirts and hoodies. They are available in black or Texas orange. Prices vary from $15.00 to $35.00. You may purchase one at our Back to School night on September 8 beginning at 6:30 pm or you may use the order form below and return it with payment to the main office.



Laramie Junior High School Dress Code for 2014-2015

In order to maintain a safe and effective learning environment for all LJHS students, we will be enforcing the following dress code:

1. Hats will not be allowed to be worn anywhere in the building.
2. Shirts should not advertise alcohol, tobacco, or drugs.
3. No see-through, cleavage baring, bare midriff, halter tops, or spaghetti strapped shirts will be allowed to be worn on campus. Straps must be two finger widths wide.
4. Shirts with obscene or questionable language will not be allowed to be worn at school.
5. Students will not be allowed to wear pajama bottoms, tops or bedroom slippers to school.
6. Shorts, skirts and dresses are to be NO more than 6 inches above the top of the knee. All student in violation of this will be required to call home for a change of clothes.
7. Pants should be worn at the waist; no sagging will be tolerated.
8. Sunglasses will not be allowed to be worn in the building.

Wyoming State law requires students to wear shoes at all times. Clothing is deemed “appropriate” when it does not offend or distract other students or faculty members. Clothing must be worn in the manner for which it is designed; students whose clothing is judged to be inappropriate will be asked to call home for a change of clothes. Excessive incidents will result in consequences. All students are expected to meet the above dress and appearance regulations.

For any school sponsored activity, students will be expected to follow the above dress code.

Students participating in inter-school activities and/or school sponsored or public appearances may be required to meet more stringent dress and appearance regulations. Certain instructors may require safety clothing.

Appropriateness of dress and appearance shall be determined by the building principals.
